1 Day Post-op
We are nearing the 24 hour mark and unbelievable things are happening! Rob has been recovering nicely and has already been moved out of ICU to a standard floor. Rick is also doing great, he is joking with the nurses and has been sitting up for a few hours. He cannot wait to hug everyone that has prayed for him & Rob. To Rob "I love you man, thank you for the gift of life you gave me today" What a hero Rob is, he is someone who doesn't hold back on sharing the gifts only he could give; he has allowed Rick to watch his beautiful daughters grow up!

ReplyDeleteWow, what an amazing evening last night was! Rob and Rick i hope you felt all the love and support that gathered together for you and you families. there were so many people in attendance at the benefit dinner last night, and the positive energy they were creating was overwhelming. Old boys from the rugby team whom we haven't seen for a long time even made (Brett and Pat, Johnnie the Greek just to name a few). Rick, I had the wonderful opportunity to talk with your dad, what an awesome role model you have, and the love he has for you plus the admiration he has for Rob is heartwarming. So Rick, I hear you are already doing laps, not surprising. Keeping you both in our prayers. Love you Ro & Walt :)

I just want to say thank you Rob for giving my big brother the gift of life. He can now live each day knowing he is cancer-free and will be here for his 2 beautiful , sweet little girls. We all are so greatful and amazed at the love and willingness to risk your life to save a loved one . You are the true meaning of generous,loving,unselfish and a gift from god.I LOVE ROB!!!
